A MOT test is periodically needed for:
- motorcycles, scooters and mopeds (included four-wheelers);
- cars and vehicles that are intended to transport people and goods (included trailer), motor caravan;
- trucks, three-wheelers vehicle for carrying goods and car/motorcycles for special use or for specific transport up to 3,5 tonnes carrying capacity; motor four-wheelers.
- bus;
- vehicles with a gross mass of more than 3,5 tonnes;
- trailers with a gross mass that exceed 3,5 tonnes;
- vehicles and motorcycles used as a taxi or for hire with driver;
- ambulances;
- atypical vehicles.
